Dear lovely readers, with this post I am asking for your help: A few weeks ago a street casting for Maybelline Switzerland took place in several Swiss cities. More than 300 stylish girls entered, me among them. Now the jury choose their nine finalists and I am so happy to tell you that I am one of them! I would love to take the next step and win the competition, be the Maybelline Switzerland ambassador for half a year and fly to New York.

This is where you come in:
The winner will be chosen by a vote on Facebook and I need you to vote for me. From now on, you can vote every day till the 15th of October. Of course I would love all of you to vote for me every day! I promise I try to bring the Statue of Liberty with me from New York for all my wonderful readers (or if I can't at least another beautiful gift).

All it takes from you is to click this link and vote for me:

(If you don't understand German but want to help anyway: Just push the blue button beneath my name)

Thank you very, very much, you make me an incredibly happy girl!

All Eyes On You

Joanna Pybus, fashion, eyes, eye balls
Shaggy Jumper, trousers and applique eyes top: Joanna Pybus, available at Bengt.
Eye necklace: Asos. Googley eye clutch: Asos. Eyeball Ring: Me & Zena.

Do you often have the experience of strange people staring at you on the street? Then it's time to stare back! There is something you could call an invasion of comical eyes in fashion and I love it. There are eyes on jumpers, handbags and accessories, all a little bit whimsical. They seem to twinkle with humour and ask to take them out.

Especially the jumper and the top on the picture above make my heart beat faster. Both of them are designed by London based Joanna Pybus. Her fashion is a true pop culture statement and inspired by postmodernism. Joanna Pybus graduated from the University of East London this year and the pieces shown here are part of her first collection called "Splice me". It looks like a very promising debut in my opinion and I would love to get my hands on a piece of this collection. I will definitely keep an eye on her (hopefully while wearing one of her jumpers together with some eye jewellery ;-)).

What do you think about eyes and eyeballs in fashion, is it your cup of tea?

Why did it never occur to me before to decorate sunglasses?
I can't understand anymore why they have to be plain.
me and zena, necklace, yes or no, fred perry
This is a necklace which helps making decisions: Just ask a question, shake it and it will tell you
the answer. At the moment it says yes.
Melissa shoes, Vivienne Westwood, outfit, pastels
It slightly starts to rain, but that's no reason to stop smiling!
Especially not with an umbrella fitting to the outfit.
Fred Perry, Amy Winehouse, know bluse, retro
A pink car, hearts , kisses, a jukebox, records and dices: A part of Amy's life on my blouse.
jelly shoes, Vivienne Westwood for Melissa, Lady Dragonball, plastic
Shoes fit for a princess and rain. They are made of my favourite material: Plastic.

It's more than a year since Amy Winehouse died. I always admired her remarkable voice, but more than that I loved the picture of her being in that beautiful house in Camden. Amy sitting in dusty bars and pubs, buying something late at night in a corner shop. Camden is one of my favourite parts of London and for me, Amy is a shining symbol of this place!

That's why I couldn't resist to buy a Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry knot blouse. I love the retro look of it. It shows pink Cadillacs, a kissing couple, records, music notes and dices, all drawn in a beautiful comic style. The Amy Winehouse Collection has been designed by Amy herself and was released after her death.

Camden is famous for it's punk style. So I thought I needed at least one edgy piece to go with my outfit and chose a studded denim jacket. In the end, just something vintage was missing, cause there are many cool vintage shops in Camden too. In fact Camden is where I came to love vintage and discovered the first of this kind of shops. I choose an amazing polka dot skirt from Blenda Vintage (Zurich). It makes a wasp taille and I think it looks like it was made to be combined with the blouse.

I am especially proud of my glasses, because I decorated them myself after a DIY found on Honestly…WTF, my one and only favourite DIY blog. They are inspired by D&G's fall collection and it's very easy to make them on your own. I just ordered a pair of cat eye glasses on Ebay and some beautiful ceramic flowers on Etsy and used a little bit of glue to bring this things together. If you wanna have your own flower glasses as well, just go for plain glasses and keep in mind that they should have a broad frame.

Do I have any Amy Fans among my fans and what do you think about my outfit and glasses?

There are people who loves cats and people who loves dogs, either you are one or the other! I am definitely a cat person. I make strange sounds when I see a cat, can't resist to stroke every cat I meet and it makes my heart jump to hear a cute little kitten purr. Cats are not just the cutest animals on earth, but also a lovely fashion topic. Wearing a cat sweater or accessorizes brings a little bit of feline love into your life, even when you're far away from the living darlings. So here is a little collection to fill your life with cat-cuteness. Prepare for other cat lovers being jealous when you are wearing one of these beauties!

I just want to have them al, because there is no such thing as too many cats in my life! Which one is your favourite?
