2014 was an exciting year for my blog, and I feel that I came quite a way from where I started at the beginning of the year. It was not always easy to have a 100% job as a graphic designer and create surprising content while other people relaxed on their sofas or went to parties. But the recompense of all the work was just priceless: I had the opportunity to work with many exciting labels. Sometimes I jumped from my chair from excitement and very often I couldn’t believe the trust offered to me. For the first time, I visited the Zurich Fashion Days, and I was a model for the Maybelline Switzerland lookbook.

I am very curious where my blog will lead me in 2015. Of course, it’s my big wish to get even better for you. I will try to post twice a week, get more organised and stick to a monthly blogging schedule. Once again I want to push my boundaries of fashion and be more daring than ever. Change is good; I embrace it, always watchful to not stand still.

I want to give a very big thank you to my boyfriend, who is not just the sweetest guy I could ask for, but as well the photographer of all my looks. He is always patient with me, endures my disappointment when a shooting doesn’t turn out like I imagined and understands my fashion-obsessed mind.

I thank all of my readers for their lovely comments and the enthusiasm. You are the best followers I could wish for and hope that we will have a wonderful 2015 together. I promise, I’ll do my best to surprise and excite you. Have a wonderful start into 2015!

If there is anything, you would like to see more from me, please let me know.

When I discovered the Now or Never lookbook a few days ago, it was clear as crystal that I had to write about this brand and their quirky, retro-kitsch jewellery. Their designs seemed to be picked right from the most wonderful dream I was dreaming night after night. The pink-haired woman modelling on the pictures looks like the prettier sister I never had. More than coincidence for sure, but a fateful encounter!
The collection of Now or Never includes exotic fruits, colourful parrots, vintage inspired candy and black magic. This is where Carmen Miranda meets American Horror Story and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has a date with Alice in Wonderland. Briefly worded: Everything a girl desires.

Cristina Escudero, a 29-year-old graphic designer, based in Barcelona (Spain), is the brain behind the brand. Now or Never is her playground, where she virtuously mixes pop and fantasy with fun and dark. All her jewellery is handmade and perfect for dreamy, free-spirited girls. The Now or Never girl expresses herself through creative fashion and living and isn’t afraid to be herself. Just like you, lovely reader, I bet!

I recommend: Treat yourself to something pretty, now or never!
Visit Now or Never here and don’t forget to follow them on Instagram and Facebook.

On pictures, nobody feels how chilly a winter dream is in real.
My fake fur and me are a daring lot, out in the cold.
Even the cute ice cream has red cheeks from the cold.
Darling candy earrings for the maximum of cuteness.
Crystals rings from my dear Serena Kuhl in the most awesome colours.
It’s soooooo fluffy! I love the pastel colours of this coat.
There is no such a thing as an overdose of cuteness!
Candy: This is what my dreams are made.
Fluffy monster wishes you a happy day. Stay cosy!

I am such a happy bunny! I won the most amazing fake fur coat on the Lazy Kat blog. I bet with this coat I would be the dream monster of James P. Sullivan from the movie Monsters Inc.. There is already a little funny story to go with it: In the bus a little girl sat next to me and eyed me shyly. Suddenly she took heart and asked me if she might stroke my coat. Hilarious, don’t you agree?

I don’t understand why people tend to dress boring in winter. I often study the outfits of the people while travelling by train. Recently I ended up being the only colourful girl in a crowd of black and grey not just once. This makes me sad. I can’t believe that all those people don’t dream of being more exciting than a dark down jacket.

One of my goals for this year was to have no bad outfit days. I didn’t succeed completely, but I think there was almost no day with just a plain and boring look and no all-black look at all. Let me think about a while about my fashion goals for next year. I want to go further on my journey, and I’m happy you are here. Have a happy Christmas my lovelies, you are the best followers I could imagine!

What do you think about this look lovelies?

From All Sides: This coat is perfect from every perspective!

Yay, I have the perfect coat! Finally, I managed to turn myself into a walking candy floss, all fluffy, pink and yummy. Words can’t explain how much in love I am with my oversized wool coat from ultra cool French label Jacquemus.

According to designer Simon Porte, the typical Jacquemus girl is very French and never wears makeup (Source: interview with Harpers Bazaar). This is not me at all, but hey: I am my very own and different version of a Jacquemus girl, maybe unlike anything the designer has ever imagined while designing his pieces.

Today’s look is not just about the coat but as well about the sunglasses. I was looking at those Miu Miu sunglasses forever, trying to convince myself that I don’t need them. It worked quite well for weeks, but as you see there was no final escape… They are pink, they are with glitter, how could I say no to them? This purchase made me realise that 2014 was the year of me discovering a designer label taste. Quite a few luxurious pieces moved into my wardrobe during the last months. One of the highlights is my pink Mulberry Bayswater bag, which I didn’t even style to a look for you yet. I still believe a girl shouldn’t buy big labels because of the power of their names. If they manage to excite, it’s fine to fall in love for sure…

How do you like this fluffy look?

My Outfit:

Coat: Jacquemus x La Redoute, Jumper: Illustrated People, Skirt: Review (not recent),

vivetta, heart shaped glasses, pink and red
Quirky Lolita: I’ll never be over heart shaped glasses, I swear!

becksöndergaard, eel leather bag, red clutch
Slippery Eel: Rediscovered this bag in my wardrobe, what a special material!
vivienne westwood, melissa, red shoes
Ruby shoes: What happens if I clap them three times, I wonder?

Dying my hair pink was the death of red lips for quite a long time. Today the phoenix rises from the ashes; red is back, and it comes with a bang! It’s something very special to combine these colours together: Nonetheless, they are very close on the colour wheel; their mix has a bad reputation. For AW14 many designers – such as House of Holland, Valentino or Dior – showed us otherwise and clashed pink and red.

The secret behind this combination is just to make it look bold, so everybody knows it’s a deliberate colour fusion and not an unfortunate accident! Today I include baby blue as well to unite both classical children’s room colours in one outfit. The skirt was an impulse purchase on my last short trip to London. I just had an hour left till I had to go to the airport, so you saw me running up and down the streets like a mad chicken.

Last week I went to see the fashion show of Vivetta, today I’m wearing a cardigan from their previous collection. I just adore the Italian label for its girliness, the touch of sweetness and their ability to create statement pieces. Seeing on red carpet pictures that shoe goddess Charlotte Olympia wears the same cardigan makes me even prouder of owning it. Next time, I’ll have her shoes as well…

What do you think about the combination of pink and red and how do you like this look?

My Outfit:

Cardigan: Vivetta (bought at Dotti’s), Blouse: Vintage,
Skirt: Topshop (still available in other colours here); Bag: Becksöndergaard,
Shoes: Vivienne Westwood x Melissa, Tights: Topshop, Sunglasses: H&M,
Planet Ring: Tatty Devine, Heart Ring: Nina Bee,
Heart Necklace (worn as bracelet): Me & Zena
Givenchy, Dahlia Divin, Review
Givenchy, Dahlia Divin, Rewiew
Givenchy, Dahlia Divin, Review

Givenchy: A label surrounded by the mystic aura of luxury. Their newly released fragrance Dahlia Divin is a graceful and feminine, but not offensive fragrance. Dahlia Divin is centred around a Sambac jasmine note on a woody-chypre base. Sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver are the base notes of this well-balanced, floral perfume.

If you are looking for a delightful scent for autumn to wear every day, this might be your perfect choice. Dahlia Divin is made for a sensual and sublime woman, intending to turn her into a modern goddess.

R&B queen Alicia Keys is the face of Dahlia Devin and has written a song especially for this occasion. The campaign is shot by photographer god Tim Walker himself in Versailles. Especially Alicia’s golden Givenchy gown is breathtaking and enhances her pureness and glamorous beauty.

My opinion about Dahlia Divin:
I was very curious about Dahlia Divin, because I love jasmine and sandalwood in general. Like a ray of sunlight, it comes with a strong blast of white flowers. The scent is rather long-lasting, especially the vetiver lingers very long on the skin. It makes even an edgy girl like me feel very ladylike.

Dahlia Divin is a fragrance to wear for professional or dressy occasions rather than to make a bold statement on a date. It’s a lovely perfume when you have the feeling that you need something smooth for the cold days.

Thanks to coolbrandz for supplying the product for this review.

Azumi & David are a London based fashion designer duo that I’ve been admiring for a long time. I love their work with it’s surreal touch and their ability to add a complete new context to everyday objects.

I got introduced to Azumi & David about five years ago. Since then I’ve been following their work and have had the honour to become friends with this lovely Japanese-British couple. They both studied fashion at Central Saint Martins in London and started to work together in 1995. They have progressed through a variety of projects from limited edition artist’s books, performance art and moved on to fashion and accessory. Their first two stockists have been the Pineal Eye London and Colette Paris; nowadays their things are sold all over the world.

In their SS 2015 collection “Contemporary Still Life” Azumi and David took inspiration from the 16th to 17th century Dutch still life oil paintings. They combine fruits, vegetables and flowers with modern objects such as plastic water bottles, light bulbs and cosmetics. Azumi and David created a range of silk dresses, digitally printed scarves, jewellery and bags. They’re releasing new versions of their ingenious shoe bags as well. If you don’t have one yet, the time has come!

With Azumi and David’s contemporary update, still life pictures do not belong to the museums anymore but become wearable for style hungry people.

Visit their page and their online shop here.
