With the new collection “Monsters Garden Party” Louise – designer of British label L.O.M. – takes us on a journey to a dream world of colour and fantasy.

“I imagined I was invited to a garden party hosted by monsters. What would I wear to such an occasion?”, says Louise about her latest work. The base of the collection are the well-loved and familiar lycra pieces. They have become a signature style of L.O.M. during the past collections. As an update to her lycra, Louise created a print that makes even monsters jealous: Gloopy leopard spots meet iridescent lizard skin in a digital print that creates a three-dimensional effect in bright pink and electric blue.

Another highlight of the collection are the glamorous dresses made from Barbie pink embellished tulle as well as bold golden quilt robes and cheeky lime green mesh dresses. Many pieces seem innocent at first sight, but beware of the monsters hidden in the details: Dragon eyeballs and delicate pointy teeth are stitched to the designs.

Since everything is so exciting, I came to believe that monsters must know how to party! Let’s join and have fun together, you colourful souls out there!

Coincidence is my partner in crime: I didn’t plan how the wind plays with my hair in these pictures, didn’t know about the beautiful marble wall before leaving the house nor of jumping in front of the camera.
Coincidence is what made me start this blog, meet my boyfriend for the very first time and probably it’s why I am here. Coincidence is everything, unless you believe in destiny.
Fashion is eventuality as well: There is no such a thing as THE perfect look, but a lot of chance happening why you have several pieces at hand and why certain things attract your eyes. They encounter you on the market in Bangkok, you had to wait for the bus in Zurich, or a friend told you about that particular shop in London. But all could have been very different if you went to Iceland, took the car instead of the bus or had tea with a different friend.
Coincidence might also make you win a pair of handmade Winkwood glasses, like the ones I wear. Do you believe that you might be the lucky one? Then give it a try! Good luck to all fellow friends of coincidence!

Zara Larsson, Capsule collection, H&M

Mark the 18th May in your agenda: H&M is launching a capsule collection with Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson, and it’s a dream in pink and velour screaming girl power. If the Spice Girls would hit the stage for the first time tomorrow, I can imagine this is what they would wear!

Zara Larsson’s pieces reflect her personal style and are emblazoned with hot print graphics as well as feminist messages. The mix of edgy streetwear with strong graphics and glamorous stagewear makes every girl’s heart beat faster.

The 19-year-old platinum-selling singer Zara Larsson is known for her playful and empowering songs. After winning the Swedish version of Got Talent in 2008, she gained fame, first national and then international. Her new album “So good” will be released on the 17th May. Zara Larsson calls herself a feminist and her favourite colour is (naturally) pink. She is looking forward to girls all over the world adding her clothes to their personal style.

The collection will be available worldwide on the 18th May in selected stores and online.
If you are in Switzerland: Head to Geneva or shop online.

Pink flowers ready to make the eyes of the mothers shine.

Happy Mother’s Day to all lovely mothers and daughters out there, but as well to all women who inspire, influence and sometimes act as surrogate mothers, drying tears and being part of lifetime events!
My Mother’s Day started last week already, with an exciting mother-daughter shopping event at the factory outlet Fashion Fish in Schoenenwerd (SO/Switzerland). Bloggers and winners from a contest met each other for shopping, getting styled and having drinks and chats together. Stylist Clifford Lilly was at our side to help with styling advice and charm.
I’ve been at Fashion Fish for the second time (read my first post here) and had so much fun there both times. I bought the poshest fluffy sandals ever from Bally, the new Moschino Pink Fresh Couture (OMG that bottle looks even better in pink) and a vintage style dress with tropical print.
Sadly I couldn’t take my mother with me, cause she was in Egypt enjoying the sun. I would have loved to shop with her and have some beautiful pictures of he two of us taken, but being alone had the advantage of having the whole generous budget for myself. I loved to watch the other mother-daughter couples shopping because they were all very cute. We chatted a lot about colours, the best bargains and beauty secrets, while updating our wardrobe.
Thank you very much for having us Fashion Fish, I’ll be back for sure!

Nothing makes you realize more how much you changed than rummaging in the deepest depths of your wardrobe. Yesterday I was brave enough to make a journey into my fashion past and decluttered bravely. The result is three big bags for charity and space for new things, which means as well time for a wishlist post!

But first let me tell you about my old sins: I found things that looked like they must belong to an entirely different person, things a Sara ten years ago must have liked and Sara from the present can’t see the reason why. I don’t hide anything: I found several models of the most boring black dresses, shoes that screamed 80s (and not in a good way) and even a brown leopard pattern skirt (eeeeeeek brown, I hate brown from the bottom of my heart, I really do).

I was always considered as a fashion girl by the people around me, but I think my style evolved a lot. Ten years ago, my wardrobe was more conventional and less colourful than nowadays. I cared much about dressing to please others and what people talked about me. Today I just roll my eyes and think “Let them talk, whatever I don’t care, ” and I feel very grateful for finding this boldness.

So gone, baby gone, discard the old and bring in more rainbows!, I have space for new things! Ladies and gentlemen, we are building the perfect wardrobe of the future! 😉
