Sara is in Love with… giveaway Christmas moon boot
Sara is in Love with… giveaway Christmas moon boot

Time for my last Christmas giveaway and I kept my favourite until the final: Get ready for sparkling shoes!

During wintertime, it’s difficult to choose the right shoes: Wearing heels is almost life-endangering on the slippery streets. In most pretty shoes you either end up having frozen or wet feet or even more likely both at the same time. Real winter boots are so stylish you can only look at them when you hide them under a pile of snow (I hope you get my ironic humour).

Therefore I bravely went on an almost impossible search: I was looking everywhere for a pair of winter boots that look cute but keep the feet cosy. The victory was mine when I found those glitter Moon Boots at Zalando.

Don’t say I don’t treat you well: I didn’t just get a pair for myself, but another one for you, in size EU 38/UK 5. You can win the sparkling golden darlings and have warm golden feet this winter

Christmas is coming closer and closer and giveaway season continues right here right now!

Because a blogger without a phone is like an octopus without arms, I am happy to give away the most important piece of technology in my life: A phone, what else?

You can win the Sony Xperia L2 in rose gold. This phone comes with a super-wide-angle 8MP selfie camera so you can fit all your friends into the scenery and a 13MP front camera. Its display is 5.5”  big, which makes it ideal for watching videos on the go. To add too other features, it has a long-lasting battery and fingerprint sensor for secure unlock.

Science Fiction has always been one of my major fashion inspirations. Visually, I love it shiny, futuristic and bold, but there is more behind it: Science Fiction is something exceptionally mentally stimulating, it’s a symbol of open-mindedness, the affirmation of unknown possibilities. Some even call Science Fiction philosophy in fancy dress.

I know a lot of people who stick to reality in every thought they have, but why not imagine a world with aliens, teleportation and exotic species? As long as you can’t prove it’s impossible, there is the possibility it’s somewhere out there! Since I was a child, I’ve been curious to know what’s behind the next hill and the next and the next one… “What if?” is still one of my favourite questions. Sometimes people roll their eyes and tell me it’s pointless to keep the mind busy with chimaeras, I say it keeps creativity alive.

From wondering what’s behind the next hill I extended my curiosity to the next galaxy and universe, fascinated by the attraction of the unknown which might be different from anything ever seen before. What fashion would species from other galaxies wear, how would time travel influence fashion and would aliens become the next era of supermodels?

Science Fiction means to dream big for me, it’s a synonym for adventure and boldness, and this is what I want my looks to be! Therefore I aim far, love to dress like I’m boarding my spaceship and travelling to the next universe of fashion. Are you coming with me?

Je ne soy quoi
what is happening right now
while we are floating through the unknown

Je ne soy pas
where our feet will carry us
when we choose blindfolded where to go

Mais je soy
my path will never be filled with darkness
I carry colours in my heart

(Nonsense poetry inspired by my beret which says “get soy sauce” in Chinese. In China, it’s the everyday business to get soy sauce from the local store. As a man was asked about a pop singer’s sex scandal by Chinese telly on the street his answer was “What’s that got to do with me? I’m just here to buy soy sauce.”. The phrase went viral and became slang for saying “mind your own business”.)

Round and round goes the colour wheel, with no beginning and no end. The most delighting of attractions at a funfair with its blinking lights and its light-up candy floss. To me: the colour wheel is a kind-of family get-together of colours where nobody is missing, and no member goes forgotten. The harmony of green joins with the calmness of blue, the optimism of orange mingles with the passion of red, as does the universal flow of purple when the humour of yellow shows up. What an exciting cocktail of united moods, you could call it the Long Island Ice Tea of colours!

I read that the total number of colours the human eye can perceive is about 10 million. So why, I ask myself, why does the majority of people stick to a very minimal palette when there is a vast variety without any legitimate need of restriction?

In the language of the Inuit, there exist 50 words for snow, imagine if we had a name for every shade of colour: How rich our language would be! Poets would be busy their whole lives describing every single nuance without ever reaching an end. Goethe‘s Colour Theory – which is 102 pages in length– must be replaced with ten heavy books to cope with the variety. And last but not least, dating would not get easier: Girls wouldn’t just expect red roses, but their favourite shade of red – the shade of red number 245. How many dates would end in a tragedy? If we are honest: It doesn’t even work with flowers on dates nowadays…

Ok, I admit: Maybe life is easier without a name for every shade of colour, but wearing all of them is undoubtedly a lot of fun!

I live in the here and now, nourished by the shrillness and comic aesthetics of recent pop culture that I soaked up like a sponge. But my style has as well retro vibes, expressed through cute vintage-style dresses and a strong affirmation of feminity that is characteristic for the 50s.

Therefore, I said yes without a second thought, when I was asked by young and talented photographer Dave Honegger if I am ready to travel into a mystical vintage dreamland for a shoot. I was full of curiosity to see a place that is different from my bubblegum everyday life and curious to meet another me. This is how we ended up in the forest on an autumn day, a group of strangers coming from all directions of the country, following the call to be part of this project. I was in their midst, as the colourful and different character on the set. I had to think of E.T. a lot when we were all staring at the sky why Dave captured us in this surreal mood.I walked around in the forest with bare feet, feeling the leaves between my toes and hearing them rustle. It was a wonderful journey to a time long ago and it felt strange to be back in 2018 afterwards, where tellys are flat and huge. One thing stayed the same: Most people look the same and there are just a few who dare to be different and stick out.

Pop Art, an art movement rebelling against the notion of tradition that emerged in the late 1950s, redefined the idea of original and copy with its focus on mass production and repetition. Andy Warhol, the probably biggest icon of pop art, said “I used to drink. I used to have the same lunch every day, for 20 years, I guess the same thing over and over”.

If any fashion label in the world embraces the spirit of pop art and keeps it alive, its Moschino! Jeremy Scott’s bold and iconic designs that always come with a humorous twinkle could even be considered as the legacy of pop art.

Therefore Moschino, this year H&M designer collaboration, is THE perfect choice: While pop art embraced mass production, H&M brings Moschino to the masses with a collection full of fun. Moschino [tv] H&M features Jeremy’s favourite Disney cartoon characters, MTV-logos, the iconic Moschino logo, golden bling bling and fancy novelty bags (omg a condom shaped bag).

The collection will be available online and in selected stores worldwide from November 8. If you are planning to visit Zurich, you might encounter me in my pink Moschino [tv] H&M coat queuing early in the morning.

Make space Warhol, Jeremy claims your throne as king of reproductive art!
